They are inseperably linked to the Humanities: the notions of culture, change and identity. On Thursday 20th and Friday 21st of April, nineteen lecturers will shed their light on questions concerning ‘cultural change and identity’ at the Leiden Humanities Faculty Symposium.

Carrying the slogan ‘You Might Be One Of Us’, the symposium will start with an inspiring opening lecture by Dutch refugee writer Kader Abdolah, will travel along ruling empires and clashing cultures and skim through media, politics and science, to finally end its path closer to home with a closing lecture by Diversity Officer Isabel Hoving on diversity in our academic community. The variety of topics speaks to every visitor, as a citizen of a country, as a child of parents, as a speaker of a language, as a carrier of ideas – as ‘one of us’.

Free entrance. Lunch, drinks, coffee and thea are for free. Sign up online for lunch.

For questions or remarks, contact the organisation via e-mail. For more information, check the Facebook page for the event.
